Looking after our land. Looking after our people.

The purpose of this policy is to provide high-level guidance about the general principles and processes that underpin Reel Therapy Charters  commitment to, and demonstration of, environmental sustainability. In recognition of the interdependence between environmental wellbeing and human wellbeing, we commit to working towards restoring our balance with te taiao (the natural environment), in line with our values, and with climate science and legislation.

  • Manaaki (Respect): This encompasses respect for the non-human world and the atua (deities/ancestors) of the natural environment.

  • Wairua (Spirituality): Reconnection to Te Taiao, acknowledging the close relationship between environmental and human wellbeing.

  • Kaitiaki (Guardianship): Identifying opportunities to bring our operations into balance with te taiao and to restore the natural environment.

  • Whānau (Relationships): Identifying opportunities to restore whakapapa relationships to Papatūānuku and Ranginui (earth and sky), as well as promoting collaboration and coming together to support the rejuvenation of te taiao; a kaupapa.
